Diseases (communicable and non-communicable) are a growing concern for the global economy. While some APEC member economies may have programs in place in tackle the increasing burden of these diseases, the Singapore Health Promotion Board would like to share its academic and practical knowledge to benefit APEC member economies in crafting promotion strategies to deal with issues like HIV/AIDS, TB management, flu mitigation etc.

By adopting a “system” approach to disease prevention and health promotion through a wide range of strategies at individual, organizational, community and social levels, this conference aims to provide up to 30 participants with an overview of health promotion, and case studies based on HPB’s experience.
